Back from the Trip

I'm back from the trip. As I see it...I haven't posted any pics or stories from my adventures. What I intend to do in the coming few days is post a few "key" pictures and explain where I am and what I'm doing.

Some of these pictures may be describing where I am while on the Amtrak train....as there was little to do but take pictures and communicate with fellow travelers.

So, stay tuned....unfortunately, today I have some checks to deposit and a part to attend. Not enough time to gather my blog-thoughts and write.

travel...it is all its cracked up to be

Well. I'm leaving a very quick post...as I'm using someone else's computer. But, I will be posting a lot of pictures from my trip.

I've been off doing adventurous things. Hiked the Trail of Ten Waterfalls in Silver Falls. Yesterday I climbed Mt. St Helens (the one that erupted 28 years ago). I will likely be going to Cannon Beach in a couple of days.....

Then I'm off to New Mexico for a week. Busy busy. The pictures will be forthcoming when I have a day or so to dedicate to blogging.

belated podcasts

well. Later is sometimes better than never. I have been a busy boy...and I am now blogging via my iPhone as I am en-route to Portland. I believe I'm still in Illinois......long way to go. But it should be fun via Amtrak. I could hardly believe the allowed amount of luggage (3 fifty pound bags can be checked. 2 fifty pounders can be carried aboard). Crazy! In a good way.

So the marathon blogging session may happen during my train ride if I can maintain sanity using my phone. It could take awhile knowing my scatterbrainy writing style.
